Wild outdoors!

Tim loves horses and camping so I agreed to go on a horse packing trip up behind our house at "The Forks" up Cherry Creek Canyon. Tim loves this area and has many good memories with his dad and brothers from hunting and camping. We packed all of our stuff on one horse, Czar. I rode Mack and Tim rode Shasta with Lane in the backpack and Sam in front of him. We went over 4th of July weekend and it was really nice. It is so close to out house and yet we didn't see anyone. Tim is so good to take care of us and he can cook some mean dutch-oven. We had no issues and everyone came home in one piece. Tim's most favorite part was giving the boys their bath in the bucket! Lane didn't love it but we couldn't get Sam out of the green bucket!

We had gotten our annual flower for Christmas, it's not as big as last year but it's fun to compare with my two boys! Lane is growing way fast, he is four months old! Sam and Lane couldn't be any different but I love them! It's crazy how amazing kids are!

Baby Lane Christensen

Timothy and I welcomed our little guy on October 8th at 2:30 in the afternoon. Lane was 8 pounds and 20 inches long! It was not a good labor or delivery but oh well! He was very swollen from all of the pushing, Tim likes to call him "Rocky" because his eyes were bruised and swollen shut! He had problems with being jaundice and had to be under bili lights for 4 long nights! He is cute and we are very proud of the little man!

Busy Times

It has been so long since I have posted! It has been a busy summer just like everyone else's! Tim's job has been staying busy and he has been working so hard. Between farm and surveying he has little time to relax but I guess farm wkor is relaxing to him! Sam is so much fun! He is running wild and I love it. He is such a dirty farm boy but I am so glad that he is happy! I last announced that we were having a boy and he is due any day now! I have been having contractions and into the doctor every week for the last two weeks and am progressing but I am getting so impatient. I have been waiting for the baby to come that it feels like the world will end because after his due date on my calendar I have nothing else planned! Anyways things are good and hopefully soon I will be making the big baby announcement!

Baby Boy Christensen

Most of you know that Tim and I are having a baby but we are officially having a BOY!!! So Sam will be about 18 months when he comes. I think that I am crazy so if anyone has kids that are that close I need advice. I just knew that this one was a girl and I was and am still a little shocked. I am getting more adjusted and it is exciting. I am hoping that #2 will be as exciting as our little Sam. I have been feeling a little sad in a way because Sam is my baby but everyone has said that you can love two just as much as one and so here we go. I am 20 weeks and half way done! We are due on October 22nd!

Sam has survived his first year! We had a fun birthday party for his cousins to come and help celebrate! We made sand creatures and the kids made Sam birthday cards! I was really stressed out but we had a wonderful time. Sam played in his birthday cake and got some fun toys and clothes! I have loved having Sam, it makes me sad to see my little guy growing up. He is trying to walk and it is so cute.

February and March were busy months for Tim, Sam and I. It was both mine and Tim's birthday's! We both feel so young but yet old. Tim surprised me with a mega-hoop for my embroidery machine. We celebrated valentine's day, we ate the best pot-luck dinner at Vivian's with Tim's family. We have been watching Sam grow and get into everything as he went from being 9 months old to almost 11 months old. It was also our 2-year anniversary in March. It is weird to think that we have been married only two years and have our little boy! Tim has been in the process of buying an engineering company and I have been busy working at the hospital! Sam is just busy doing everything. He love to be outside with Tim checking cows! He is such a daddy's boy and sometimes that makes me feel way sad! But I get to spend my whole days watching him grow! He is eating like a champ and crawls like lightning. When we empty the dishwasher we move him and by the time we walk back he is right on our heels crawling. I really wanted him to start walking but I have changed my mind! I am a horrible blogger, sorry!

Saying Good-bye

I am sorry to say that Tim, Sam and I have to say good-bye to our beautiful flower that I recently posted about. A tragic accident took the flower when it was too top heavy from so many beautiful pink blooms and split in half. I am just thankful that I took my pictures and that we were able to enjoy our short little time together!

Thank you flower for blessing our table with your beautiful presence, we will miss you and always remember your blooms!

The last few years my mom and I have bought these flowers for Christmas and mine was really slow to grow. But now it is huge and beautiful. It certainly doesn't have much competition with Sam!

Sam has been fun but a lot of work! He is crawling on his hands and knees. He is crawling up stairs and is always doing dangerous stunts. He is chewing on his crib so if anyone has advice on how to save crib furniture from teeth marks! Don't be confused about the binky because he does not know what one is even for! Sam will be 9 months old. I put him in 12 month PJ's and wanted to cry! I need to take pictures of Tim and I put honestly our lives are not as exciting!!

This has been a good 2008! Sam has been the best part! Tim has been really busy with his engineering job and farming. He has been the best father to Sam. He is the one who bathes and plays with him at night! I am working 2 nights a week as an RN and it has made a big difference working part-time. Tim let me get a new sewing machine and embroidery machine and that has been the most fun!

I'll just talk about Sam since he's the best part of the year. Sam will be 8 months on the 10th. He is crawling everywhere! I have to admit that I have lost him a few times. Sometimes he gets stuck in tight squeezes! My New Year Eve surprise is that he is getting his first teeth! How do you keep him comfy, it has mad him so grouchy. He is eating good and sleeping good. Christmas was a lot of fun watching him by the tree and eating wrapping paper.

We hope every has had a good year! Can't wait to see what this year brings!

I must be no good at blogging because I am so behind. Sam has been doing some form of crawling for the last few weeks and I have been chasing him around because he finds the things that I hope he won't find! We had a good Thanksgiving with all of Tim's family. All of his brothers and sisters were there except Zane. Tim and I have been trying to get ready for Christmas, I made him put lights up again this year, he just doesn't understand how much I love lights! Sam has discovered the tree but I have shielded it from him before he could do too much damage! Here are some pictures that we have taken recently!

I came across this video that I thought I had deleted on accident! We had went camping up Cherry Creek and it was extreme camping. We were up there for a few nights and Sam needed a good bath. Tim got some nice warm water, this is the best part of our camping trip!

My mom and I went to Provo to watch MC play volleyball. Luckliy we had plenty of time to shop and I found these cute baby legs for Sam. I am sure that he will be embarassed when he is older! He had shots today for his 6 month check-up and I was trying to keep him happy!
